Biking Bis – Bicycle Touring and More :: Leadville 100 mountain bike race documentary in 500 theaters this week

Don’t think this one will make it to Lewiston but the 2009 version with Lance Armstrong is still available on Amazon in Blue Ray. Standard def is out of stock.–Corrie

The Leadville Trail 100 Mountain Bike Race has rolled every year since 1994 and routes cyclists over a 100-mile course that ranges between 9,000 and 13,000 feet of elevation.

Always popular among mountain bikers who enjoy a challenge, the race enjoyed unprecedented popularity in 2010 after Lance Armstrong raced, and won, in 2009, as documented in the first of the “Race Across the Sky” films.

Although Armstrong didn’t race in 2010, RadioShack teammate Leipheimer showed up and beat Armstrong’s record from the previous year.
