The Book of Interbike

I’m not gong t Interbike? Are you? I thought not. So why am I posting or re-posting a blog about Interbike that spends much of its time talking about a new Broadway play I’ll likely never see either?

Well, it could just be that this piece is wide ranging, challenging, entertaining, and well-writtne. Enjoy. Corrie

In The Book of Mormon — the Broadway musical, not the sacred text of the Latter Day Saints movement — a Mormon missionary in remote northern Uganda, interpolates elements from Star Trek, Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings into the official teachings of the church. In doing so, he achieves success where others have failed — because the stories he makes up are more relevant to the lives of the Ugandans he’s been sent to convert.

(Bear with me. This post is ultimately about Interbike, the largest bicycle industry trade show in North America being held later this week.)

    Thanks Corrie!

You’ve referred your readers to several of my posts, and I appreciate it.

I’ll let you be the first to know that my take-away from Interbike is that the industry is grasping at women rather ineptly. I’ll be looking into this problem and phenomenon in future posts.
