Portland’s Bicycle Transportation Alliance shifts gears on helmet laws after poll shows high usage | OregonLive.com

Not all advocacy organizations support the helmet or at least mandatory laws to require the helmet. Apparently finding most of its members typically wore a helmet when riding a bike, this Portland advocacy group has dropped formal opposition to mandatory laws.

Seems to be a national antipathy to any regulation these days. If you are stupid enough to ride without a helmet, then you should be willing to take the consequences. The government should not be expected to save us from ourselves.

It is a line of thought the produces some logical difficulties for most of us.
