Long stretches of sidewalk with little interruption by driveways and light foot traffic are rideable. So are long bike lanes with few intersections and driveways. These protected lanes are certainly attractive in similiar situations with minimal intersecting activity. I wonder what this will look like when the delivery van pulls into it?  i see only one post to prevent cars from entering the lane. And what happens at the corner? A cyclist will be subject to a right hook. –Corrie

LongThere’s no denying that separated facilities, like buffered bike lanes in Los Angeles, are getting more folks riding. Yesterday in Chicago, our partners at Bikes Belong officially launched their new and exciting Green Lane Project to propel the development of such innovative facilities across the country.
