I don’t get legs cramp as a rule. I do feel the cramping after the ride if I do something stupid like to try to cut my toe-nails by bringing a knee up to my chest.
And I’m also guilty of not drinking enough and for all the reasons given here including not wanting to have to stop for a nature break.
My solution? Salt. A bag of chips gives me the electrolytes I need for my type of riding, and, of course, never leaave a rest stop with an empty bottle. I fill both even if I really only drink from one. Just in case . . . Corrie
I am not afraid to admit that I have a drinking problem.
I have had the problem of drinking too little when I’m riding my bike. (rimshot!)
