We have a number of rides that haven’t quite made the cut to standards. Some are old favorites for some of us, but still not regulars for the club. Others are new to all of us.
Gary’s Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes Century Sunday, Sept. 12th
We’ll start at the trail head in Plummer at 8:30 am Sunday morning and ride to Kellogg and back on the Trail of the Coeur d’Alenes through Harrison. Flat route except the hill down from Plummer to the lake and back for mild century. No headwinds, right, Donna? Look for updates Twin Rives Cyclists.
Southfork Sashay, Sept. 26th Oct. 3rd 8:30 am grocery parking lot at Kamiah
Kamiah to Grangeville up Harpster and down Mt. Idaho puts the cyclist along the banks of the SouthFork of the Clearwater River most of the day. Look for updates Twin Rives Cyclists.
Bill’s Palouse Falls Adventure Sunday, Oct. 3 9/26
Updated 7/16/2010: Car Pool from Southway starting at 8 am.
Starting at the turn to Starbuck (Delaney) at about 9:30, we’ll ride through Starbuck, Lyon’s Ferry and over two or three fingers of glacial moraine. If it looks rideable, we’ll take the dirt/gravel road into view Palouse Falls. Then we’ll onto Washtucna for lunch and return for about 70 miles. The hills are scarier looking than they ride and Bill and I saw very little traffic last Sept. Look for updates Twin Rives Cyclists.
Lee’s Klemgard Fat Tire Ride Sunday, Oct. 10 at 1 pm. Klemgard Park
Lee held this fat tire ride last year and found it to be very popular. Gotta watch for those patches of puncture weed, though. Slightly different, route, more hills, more fun. Lee goes out of his way to be a great host. So you fatties, er, fat tire fans, roll ’em out for fall ride on the Palouse.Look for updates Twin Rives Cyclists.
